More than his work in films, Vivek Oberoi is majorly known for his 2003 controversy which involves him, superstar Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. What he did recently has made alive all that ruckus again. The actor, who will next be seen in Bank Chor alongside Riteish Deshmukh held a press conference and roasted Salman Khan and his film TUBELIGHT in an attempt to promote his film Bank Chor.
Talking on these lines, Vivek said, “Pichli baar jab Maine press conference Rakhi thi, tab meri tashreef lagi thi, jisko yeh nahi samjhi woh Tubelight hai.” His words have clearly hinted the act occurred some years ago when he was allegedly in a relationship with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and how he called a press conference at his house and told the media that a drunk Salman had called him up and threatened to kill him. But later he apologised to Salman
Meanwhile, Vivek Oberoi was accompanied by his co-actor Ritesh Deshmukh, perhaps who felt that Vivek was in a no-holds-barred mood, rose to the occasion and drew some laughs at Vivek’s expense. When a scribe asked him a secret of Vivek that only he knows, Riteish answered, “Vivek has a big mouth. Things, which no one knows, he goes out and tells everyone about them,” in another reminder of the infamous incident.
Amidst the press conference, Vivek was given a hypothetical situation that how would he react if someone tells him that the ‘Tubelight’ guy does a police officer better than him (referring to Salman’s Dabangg franchise)? While loud cheers from other media persons, Vivek replied with a smile, “If someone says that to me then I would say, ‘Yeah he does it very well and when part three (of Dabangg) will come I will go and watch it.”
