This year Deepika Padukone is the first Indian celeb who officially sets her foot on the red carpet of Cannes film festival, thus, all eyes are obviously waiting to see her and interestingly, Padukone didn’t disappoint anyone as she was looking gorgeous in her black gown. While the event it was Aishwarya Rai who again hogged the limelight, hereafter, the audiences are now making comparison between her and Aishwarya Rai.
On being asked about her comparison with Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai, “I feel it shouldn’t happen. This is an incredible platform to showcase our talent and represent a brand or movie. We all are such strong individuals and I don’t see any overlap,” Deepika said to MidDay.
Deepika has also shared her beautiful moment she spent in the makeup room, she says “At 7 am, we were getting our hair and make – up done.What I enjoyed the most was that we all are celebs, but in that room, we were three women giggling, chatting and being real,” she was quoted as saying.
Actress further added her perception of Indian Cinema she learnt during the Cannes “Susan was talking about her son picked up a dance element from Indian films and incorporated in his film.I know all our movies are not just about song and dance. Though people arr aware of the kind of films we make, there’s a lot to do in terms of educating them.”
