Kunal Kapoor’s poetry comes at a time when every second the country is receiving women trafficking cases and just a few of girls rescued from it. Written by Mohammed Sadriwala, Navaldeep Singh, and Simar Singh the poem shows how we easily judge a woman through this profession who at the same time struggling for fulfilling her child’s necessities. Behind the heavy makeup and ravishing sarees, a woman in this job is suffering sex slavery. The actor addressed the issue of women trafficking through a powerful poem at Tuning Forks in Mumbai and raised his voice against trafficking and sex slavery in India through a poem titled ‘Sold Bodies’.
