It’s been many years since Kajol has been missing from the film industry, albeit her film ‘Dilwale’ that released around two years ago. The actress married her long time beau Ajay Devgn around two decades ago and has two children – Nysa and Yug – who keep her busy. Now, she will be seen in a negative role in upcoming South film ‘VIP 2’.
THOSE WERE THE DAYS
In a recent interview to a daily, Kajol was recalling the good old days of the film industry and was growing quite nostalgic about those times when she used to work in many films at one go. She confessed, “The ’90s was the era for the best of all multi-starrers. At that time, all the A-list actors didn’t have any troubles sharing screen space with other co-actors in a movie — but that is something that does not happen now.Today, Nobody is so confident about the other actor, to be able to co-work in a multi-starrer.”
WE ALL WERE DRINKING BUDDIES
In the same interview, she also said that those were the times when everyone in the film industry were friends with each other. It was during this conversation that she perhaps got so carried away that she almost confessed that she used to be having drinks and beer with her friends quite regularly. “Back then, everyone was friends and everyone knew each other. We all were drinking buddies. We also knew each others’ families, their wives, and even their children. But not anymore”
“But in today’s times, it’s only about me, myself and I, and more about how to develop ‘me’ as a brand. Will I work with another actor? Will that affect my brand equity? Will the other person somehow overshadow me? So, yes, there are a lot of insecurities and considerations to take into account now,” Kajol added.
