Salman Khan has begun to communicate more with his fans as the release date of his upcoming film ‘Tubelight’ is approaching. As the film releases on June 23, that falls on Eid, the excitement around the movie has also doubled up. Today, the actor shared a behind-the-scenes video of the movie’s shooting wherein he has explained the reason behind the film being titled as ‘Tubelight’. Here’s what he said…
The film’s official Twitter page uploaded a video detailing the making of the film, saying, “Der se jalta hai… Magar jab jalta hai tab full light kar deta hai! #MeetLaxmanSinghBisht”. In this video, Salman Khan is seen saying in an interview that Tubelight was a special name associated with the film’s character.
Both Salman and Kabir Khan (the film’s director) explain the word Tubelight as “Someone who is slow, takes time to answer your question or do a task they have been asked to do, Understands a joke a little later and laughs.” And this is how Salman’s character of ‘Laxman Singh Bisht’ is in the film. Hence the title.
While the Dabangg actor has also explained how he is interested in only meaningful scripts, filmmaker Kabir has stated that, “As an actor, Salman has gone five steps ahead in this film.” Also, watch out how our Bajrangi Bhaijaan recalls that he has cried so many times while shooting the film, adding that ‘aap logon ko bhi khushi ke aanson aayengein iss movie ko dekh ke‘.
