Ganesh Acharya is Bollywood’s most loved choreographers since two decades. Not many know that it is this fabulous mastermind who is behind Govinda’s signature thumka style dance. And we have always adored not only Govinda’s fun moves, but also all the choreographies by Ganesh who also makes many guest appearances in songs that he directs.
Ganesh also recently won the National Award for choreographing the famous song ‘Havan Karengein’ from the film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. All has been going very well with him, except his body – that is unimaginably flexible yet too obese. Having already piled on pounds, he further gained 40 kgs for one of his movies ‘Hey Bro’. And he was then stuck at a staggering 200 kgs. But then, he took the plunge and has now lost 85 kgs. “I had to do this. Ek soch thi ki I just have to do this. All these years people have only seen an obese Ganesh Acharya. That’s why I felt a dire need to change this existing image. I have lost almost 85 kgs now,” he was quoted as saying.
Ganesh’s Instagram handle is brimming with his workout photos and of his gym sessions. He is feeling confident with each passing day and his ongoing process of weight loss. But what about his dancing skills? Will he have the same energy and flexibility or with a meagre inch loss diet plan he’s feeling weaker? “I danced even when I had so much weight, but the difference between then and now is that the energy in my dance has doubled,” clarifies the choreographer.
Now, with his jaw-dropping transformation, most of his fans and followers are deeply eager to know about his special diet plan and workout regime. For this, we sort of have to wait, coz he hasn’t revealed his journey yet, but he’s soon going to launch a video on YouTube that will showcase the journey of how he transformed his body, he has promised.
