If ‘digging your own grave’ has a new meaning in current times, it would be the current situation of Baahubali filmmaker SS Rajamouli. Post the grander-than-grand success of his recent rockbuster film, he landed into a trouble that was the least expected. Here’s what happened and how….

A few weeks ago, the makers of ‘Magadheera’ (the South film that starred Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal) slapped a major plagiarism case on the makers of upcomimg Bollywood film ‘Raabta’ (starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon), alleging that the script of Raabta has been picked up from that of Magadheera that released in 2009.

Magadheera makers had even slapped a notice on Raabta filmmakers, alleging that it is a copy. The matter was then taken to the court (which even put up a huge risk on the planned release of Raabta) by them awaiting a stay order on the release of the film.

BUT HERE’S THE TWIST IN THIS PLAGIARISM STORY – As per a report, the Mumbai court denied the stay order on the film. While this brought about a major bout of happiness to Raabta director Dinesh Vijan, this courtroom scene landed the complainants — SS Rajamouli and Allu Aravind — in legal trouble. How? A certain novelist named SP Chari, who wrote the novel Chanderi, had slapped a notice to the makers of Magadheera (Rajamouli and Aravind) after the film released, back in 2009. But nobody followed up back then.
But, hilariosuly enough – Today while the hearing for this Magadheera v/s Raabta plagiarism case, the same novelist SP Chari was also present in that court. And he told the court that Magadheera is indeed a copy of his novel! Now, this has landed the makers of Magadheera in trouble.

Heard of the phrase – When you set out to create a trouble for someone, you kind of dig two graves. Below is the trailer of the upcoming film ‘Raabta’ along with that of ‘Magadheera’. You can compare the two and see if you find any similarities….
