Salman Khan’s recent release Tubelight is failed to pull the audience towards the theatres as the bad reviews and dropping collections of the film marked dent on its grossing spree. However, Tubelight has entered into 100 Cr club which is an achievement in itself and earns Rs 3 crore (30 Million) net approx on second Sunday or Day 10, taking the total business of the film to Rs 110.7 crore (1.10 Billion) net approx.
Tubelight did a business of Rs 102.57 crore (1.02 Billion) net approx in week one, which looked like a real struggle as if you notice its day by day collection in the above tweet.
Meanwhile, Tubelight incurred losses from all across the country as single screen theatre owners who always earn big amount through Salman’s Films are bearing loss with the Tubelight. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the sad news of Tubelight’s rejection on several movie theatres.
Film trade expert Girish Johar told a leading site that Tubelight needs to earn Rs 300-350 crore for distributors to make any profit. “Distributors have bought the film at high prices considering how Salman Khan’s film performs on Eid. They were expecting the film to do an overall box office business of Rs 300-350 crore so that they can make profit,” Girish said
