Tubelight Box Office Collection Day 1 :  Salman Khan’s Tubelight is 2nd  highest opening of 2017 after Baahubali 2 and slightly higher than Raees. Tubelight released in 4400 screens across . Keeping in mind the huge fan following and the excitement among the audiences, Tubelight got the biggest release any Bollywood movie has ever seen in India. Tubelight is made on a budget of Rs 100 Crores all inclusive without the salary for Salman Khan.

Tubelight has opened to approximately 25-30% occupancy rate during morning shows. According to early estimates, the film has raked in around Rs 20 crore on its opening day.  Tubelight has been largely panned by critics. However, Salman is known to have a massive fan following who are excited about watching Bhai’s film, nonetheless. Kabir Khan directorial has amassed $1.05 million (Rs 6.6 crore) in UAE-GCC, Dubai and other areas. Film trade expert Girish Johar told indianexpress.com that bad reviews will do little to dampen the box office prospects of Salman Khan film.
Tubelight, directed by Kabir Khan, is an official remake of the 2015 American war drama Little Boy. It tells the story of brothers Laxman (Salman Khan) and Bharat Singh Bisht (Sohail Khan). Salman Khan plays a simpleton who lost his soldier brother (played by Sohail Khan) during 1962 Indo-Sino war. The film also have stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu.
