Babloo Happy Hai is another movie by Director Nila Madhab Panda who earlier directed cult movies “I am Kalam” and “Jalpari – The Desert Mermaid”. Nila strongly supports Freedom of Speech and this movie will prove his view about it.
Babloo Happy Hai is a love story of today’s youngsters, and what they think love and sex is in the times of multiplexes and fast cars. The film features Sahil Anand, Erica Fernandes, Sumit Suri, Amol Parashar and Preet Kamal in pivotal roles. Earlier, the film’s name was “Love is not mathematics” but the director thought of a less complicated name later because the story too is of common youth (as the title suggests).
Nila Madhab Panda told us that this movie is totally different from his earlier movies, but this movie too holds a Social Message. He added that the movie has got a U/A Censor Certificate, despite the trailer includes some scenes related to sex and condoms. According to Nila, Sex Education is India’s necessity. “Every age group should see this movie as this will remove the barrier of shyness between Parents and Youngsters and will teach Youngsters about love in 21st Century”, Nila Madhab Panda. Nila kept focussing about the ‘twist’ in the movie, that would leave a message unlike the movies of same genre.
Babloo Happy Hai stars Sahil Anand, Sumit Suri and Preet Kamal were also present at the event. Sahil Anand when asked about his experience so far stated “It was great working with Nila and It is a dream come true to act as a lead.” Sahil was praised for his limited role as Jeet in Student of the Year. Sahil is playing the character of a Playboy in the movie, who is going to marry his ladylove soon (Preet Kamal) and is also involved with another woman (Erica Fernandes) at the same time. He’s caught up between the ‘cutie’ & ‘hotie’ which serves the fun element.
Sumit Suri said, “Offset fun was even more than the Onset Fun and Audience will enjoy the movie thoroughly.” Preet Kamal added, “Director Nila Madhab Panda is young at heart and is very jovial. Don’t go on his looks.” She said playfully.
This is the second joint venture of Nila Madhab Panda and writer Sanjay Chauhan who earlier delivered “I am Kalam”. “It took us 7 years to write this story, So this is not just about a road trip or a couple. It has got mysterious and real life elements that audience will catch in the halls”, Nila Madhab Panda.
The soundtrack is composed by Bishakh-Kanish with the lyrics penned by Protique Mojoomdar and the voice of Mika Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Hard Kaur, Rahul Ram, Aditi Singh Sharma, Sonu Kakkar and More added charm to the music of the movie. We caught Sahil Anand, Sumit Suri and Preet Kamal singing and dancing on the title track of Babloo Happy Hai.
Movie is set to release on 7th Feb 2014 and will be competing with Sahil Anand’s first movie Co-star Siddharth Malhotra’s Hasee toh Phasee. It will be interesting to watch which movie bags more audience.
