Maatr is an out and out crime story. Set in Delhi, there is an unfortunate gang rape and death, which are followed by revenge wherein a deeply grieved teacher next door is forced to lift a revolver. More than the script, it is the lead actress Raveena Tandon who is so convincing as the distraught mother, one can hardly forget her face even after the film is over. Here is a crime thriller set to steal your thunder.

THE GOOD
Raveena Tandon is unbelievably brilliant in the movie. If not for the story, watch it for this zabardast comeback.

The script does point out numerous grim realities of many metropolitan cities of the country wherein more than 1 crore rape cases may be pending, and it’s quite eye popping.
