Milind Soman never fails to surprise us. Be it barefoot running, being a part of Ironman Triathlon and Ultraman Florida and sometimes by giving us a glimpse of him in Bollywood films like ‘Jodi Breakers’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’. Here’s another film in which he starred, and left us gasping for more of him on the big screen.

On Independence Day, Milind Soman surprised us with yet another film. This time, it wasn’t any masala Bollywood flick or a magnum opus, but a short film on India’s Independence. ‘Mukti’ is the story of the 1971 war. It was a war in which India emerged victorious against Pakistan. Milind portrayed the role of one able general on whose shoulders fell upon the responsibility to turn the fate of Bangladesh and free it from the shackles of General Niazi.
That general was Mr Jacob. In one particular meeting with General Niazi, Jacob turned — what was supposed to be — a cease fire into the first ever public surrender in Indian history. This film shows what exactly happened in that meeting and how, Bangladesh was born and found its place on the world map.
We saw the film and wondered only one thing — Why does this handsome man spend much of his energy in running? He should be doing more films also. No, really.
You’ve got to watch him steal your thunde in the short film here:
