Hindi Medium that was released in the year 2017 casted Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in the lead roles along with Amrita Singh, Neha Dhupia, Mallika Dua and Rajesh Sharma in the other characters. IMDB has rated it 7.8 out of 10 and has received immense response. The film revolves around the struggles of the parents who belong from the Hindi medium wanting their kids to receive education from English Medium.
In the sequel ‘Angrezi Medium’, Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen sharing the screen with the veteran actor Irrfan Khan for the very first time. Kareena is hella excited as she shared her excitement about working with him through the statement, “It is a small part and I did not want to miss the opportunity to be working with Irrfan Khan.” Bebo also added, “That box needed to be ticked in my career that I had the pleasure of working with him whether it is two scenes or three or more.
As an artist, one gets to learn so much when you are part of a good film.” Bebo has literally revealed to have grabbed the opportunity to work with Irrfan as she really did not know when she would be getting another opportunity. Kareena said, “We are dramatically different actors. We don’t do the same kind of movies. When this role came, Homi told me to do as it is a cool part even though it is small. And I will also get to work with Irrfan.” The gorgeous and talented actress revealed that she is playing the character of a cop in the film Angrezi Medium, although she is reluctant to reveal more about her character at this point of time.
The film also casts Deepak Dobtiyal and Radhika Madan in the pivotal roles. Angrezi medium directed by Homi Adajania will commence its shoots on and from 15th of May in Mumbai. The crew and casts have already started to shoot their parts in Udaipur after Irrfan Khan returned to India post his cancer treatment. As the first schedule will be wrapped up, the team will start shooting in Mumbai. It has also been revealed that the Mumbai shoot will last for just a week after which the whole cast and crew will fly to London to shoot the major part of the film.
