What can be better than to get to see the sequels of our favourite movies? We already know Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal is getting a sequel where Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan will appear. But let us give you even much bigger news. Remember how all of us loved Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan’s starring in Bhool Bhulaiyaa? Well, the film is having a comeback with a sequel Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. We don’t know about you but we are surely looking forward to seeing Manjulika with her spooky yet irresistible acts.
The lead actors Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan had undoubtedly entertained us in the 2007 comedy thriller Bhool Bhoolaiyaa. Ameesha Patel and Shiney Ahuja also had important roles in the film. Akshay did a marvellous job with his hilarious and serious performances in the film which left the audience in splits. The movie had stars like Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Rasika Joshi, and Vikram Gokhale.
According to Mumbai Mirror, the makers were planning for the sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa since a very long time. The film is still at the development stage and the director will have new faces in the sequel. The film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and it will be both written and directed by Farhad Samji.
A source close to the development said, “Once the final script is locked, the team will kick off casting and other pre-production formalities.” The title of the film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has also been registered by Bhushan Kumar. Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a Hindi remake of 2005 Tamil movie Chandramukhi which had Rajnikanth and that film was also a remake of 1993 Malayalam movie Manichitrathazu. The 2017 thriller comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa directed by Priyadarshan was enjoyed by many audiences and was also well appreciated. The dance of Manjulika where for the first time she was seen in a different personality was probably the best scene in the film. On the work front, Farhad Samji is currently occupied with Housefull 4. After the sexual harassment was applied against director Sajid Khan, Farhad Samji replaced him. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar is busy filming for Laaxmi Bomb which is the remake of the Tamil movie Kanchana. Kiara Advani will appear opposite to Akshay Kapoor and he will be seen possessed with a transgender ghost. He will also appear in Good News, Sooryavanshi, Housefull 4 and Mission Mangal.
