The internet got on fire when they heard for the first time Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s voice as Simba from Disney’s “The Lion King”. Ever since they shared a video, it became the hottest topic among the netizen that how similar both of the voices are. Youngsters are already dreaming about getting to watch the younger version of Shah Rukh Khan on screen. Due to the similarity of the voice between the father and son, SRK has to now dub one scene more than once. The entire all-star voice cast of the Hollywood film includes Donald Glover as Simba, james Earl Jones as Mufasa, Beyonces Knowles-Carter as Nala, Billy Eichner as Timon, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar and Seth Rogen as Pumbaa. In the Hindi version of The Lion King Shah Rukh Khan is found dubbing for Mufasa while his son Aryan Khan lending his voice to Simba.
More than any of us, Shah Rukh Khan went overwhelmed after watching the teaser and finding out how much their voice was similar to hear. He said, “We were listening to one of the scenes and all the experts in the dubbing theatre said I sounded like him (Aryan). They told me I’d have to dub the scene again because we sounded too much like each other, which I never thought was the case.” Later he went emotional as he added, “It was a sweet thing for a father to know, it was extremely special and heart-warming.”
It was indeed a heart touching moment to see how nicely the superstar’s son Aryan Khan stepping into his father’s shoe. Aryan Khan might show us the next romantic era. The whole dubbing experience was special for both the father and son as it was the first time Shah Rukh Khan was spending time with his son professionally. The superstar said, “For me, the experience of dubbing with Aryan is very personal. I got time to spend with him professionally. I am a professional actor and I have to do this, but my family has never really been associated with the work I do.” After that, he added, “So, it’s very heartening. When we did ‘The Incredibles’, Aryan was around nine years old. It was very sweet to hear his voice then, and (it is sweet to hear) even now. The time spent with him in my line of work is special. For me, it’s a bonding time with Aryan.”
The Lion King will be released on July 19 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions.
