According to a source close, there is a marathon meeting held every day where the whole team goes through training for about two hours. Before the shoot starts they had been giving extra times in order to prepare themselves. The entire squad moved forward to Dharamshala to start their training as this is the part of Kapil Dev’s legendary life where he started training the boys. Ranveer Singh is mostly seen spending time with Kapil Dev in Delhi before he gets himself into his shoes. ’83 is very close to Ranveer’s heart and thus before being Kapil Dev, he is learning every bits about him.

The film is helmed by Kabir Khan and is presented by Reliance Entertainment.  The film will be based on India’s historic win at the 1983 Cricket world Cup. The film also features Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi, Chirag Patil, Ammy Virk, Saahil Khan, R Badree and Saqib Aleem.

Ranveer Singh was last seen in Gully Boy and after ’83 he will be all set for Karan Johar’s Takht.
