Yami Gautam stepped into the Hindi film industry first with her debut in Shoojit Sircar’s romantic comedy Vicky Donor (2012). The lead actor played by Ayushmann Khurrana who is also a singer has done his debut with this one. The film Vicky Donor had turned out to be a massive hit and the chemistry shared between Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam was loved by all. In the new age love story, their chemistry worked like magic. We had waited enough for the duo to come back again and finally our wish had been answered. After 7 long years, the duo collaborated again to do their upcoming production venture with Dinesh Vijan’s Bala. A flurry excitement went in the air since the news of the duo comeback came.

Last week the film Bala went on floors and Yami Gautam joined the team in Mumbai film schedule. The filmmakers are really keeping tight for not leaking anything from the sets. They are still being secretive for the shoot location. Yami Gautam was last seen as an Intelligence officer and this time she will be seen as Lucknow’s supermodel.

The story of the Bala is centered on a young man who is going through a premature balding and the character will be played by Ayushmann Khurrana. Amar Kaushik who has helmed Stree is the director of the film and the film is produced by Dinesh Vijan who is under the banner Maddock Films. While getting her hair fixed Actress Yami Gautam shares picture of herself with the caption “Work still in progress”. The first poster of Bala had already come out which was shared by Ayushmann himself. Apart from Ayushmann and Yami, the film also features Seema Pahwa, Saurabh Shukla and Javed Jaffrey who has vital roles.

The Comeback of Duo Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam in Bala

The year 2019 started with a bang for Ayushmann Khurrana with her movie Uri: The Surgical Strike which turned out to be a massive box-office hit. The film even garnered a lot of praise for Yami Gautam. She played the role of an Intelligence officer. Aditya Dhar gave his directorial debut with Uri: The Surgical Strike. The film features Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, and Mohit Raina who held key roles. The budget of the film made about Rs 45 crores but interestingly it succeeded in making over Rs 240 crores at the box-office. Yami Gautam even gives her credit for the role in Bala to Uri: The Surgical Strike. According to Yami Gautam, her role in Uri helped her to elevate as an actor in the eyes of other filmmakers.
