John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer ‘Dishoom’ has been faring almost decently at the Box Office, of late. The film, that released a week ago, has about an average first week BO collection and we’re hopeful it will rake in another decent week in the days to come. Here’s the detailed earnings of the film so far.
The film opened on Day 1 with 11.05 crores earning which was less than what was expected, given the hype. Then it rose to a better weekend fare, and now, it’s total first week collections stand at a strong 53.34 crores.
Given the fact that the film was made in a total budget of Rs 84 crores, filmmaker Rohit Dhawan (who also directed Desiboyz five years ago), can heave a sigh of relief, since there’s another full week to go for Dishoom, in which the cost of the film can be recovered, along with some hope of profit. Only the 3rd week can be difficult since by then (August 12), two big budget flicks — Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro and Akshay Kumar’s Rustom will hit the theatres, and Dishoom might just be able to crawl through some screens.
Let’s see what the future has in store for this masala potboiler. Meanwhile, check out the trailer of Dishoom, if you haven’t till now.
