The most awaited films of the year, Bahubali – The Beginning, has broken and created box office records on its opening day. The Telugu flick, released in over 3500 screens across the nation on 10th July, has earned the record of making the highest collections on the first day of its release, ever made by any Indian film! The epic movie clocked in Rs. 50 crore on its day one (including all versions). It made Rs. 5.17 crore from its Hindi version on Friday and 7.10 Crores on its first Saturday of release.

Directed by S.S.Rajamouli, Bahubali – The Beginning is a two-part epic film, simultaneously produced in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, English and French. The film has created huge waves in cine-circles and its trailer had piqued our attention and curiosity all the more. It has an ensemble cast including Prabhas Varma, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah in lead roles, whereas Sathyaraj, Nassar, Ramya Krishnan, Adivi Sesh, Sudeep and Tanikella Bharani are in supporting roles.

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has presented the Hindi theatrical version of Bahubali – The Beginning. Reportedly, it is the most expensive film in the history of Indian cinema.
