NH10, directed by Navdeep Singh and produced by first-timer Anushka Sharma, is enjoying a good run at the box office. The film earned decently during its second weekend also. Here are the figures – Friday: Rs 1.25 crore, Saturday: Rs.1.10 crore, and Sunday: Rs. 2 crore. Combining the score with the film’s previous collections, the grand total comes out to be Rs. 25.15 crore. A commendable feat for a film, which doesn’t boast of an A-list male lead and was not marketed on a huge scale!
Though NH10 enjoyed good numbers at Box Office India during its initial six days, it witnessed its first big drop on its first Thursday. Due to a crucial World Cup match between India and Bangladesh, the film’s business suffered hugely. But the film regained its momentum on its second Friday and was expected to do a better business during its second weekend, which it certainly did. Also, NH10 has an advantage that there’s no big competition for it until 3rd April, when Dibakar Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! is slated to release.
NH10 has Anushka in a never-seen-before avatar. The actress is doing action stunts in the film. Neil Bhoopalam plays the male lead in it, and Darshan Kumar essays the role of the baddie, pitted against the leading couple.
