Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha’s Tevar has witnessed a plunge over its second Friday. The film collected approximately Rs 1 crore on its eighth day at the ticket window. Thus, it now stands with a total collection of Rs 36 crores at the box office India.
In spite of Tevar being a big release of the year, it continued to remain low at the ticket windows. The film remained dull not only in multiplexes, but also at the single screens. It earned good from the mass circuits though.
This action drama suffered much after the release of Alone and Ai at the silver screen. It had an average business over its second week at the box office.
Contrary to expectations, Tevar did not perform at its best. However, the producers are having a ball of a time, as it is a low-budget film.
Amit Sharma’s Tevar has been co-produced by Kapoor brothers – Boney and Sanjay. Tevar is a remake of Gunasekhar’s 2003 Telugu flick, Okkadu, which starred Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika Chawla in lead roles. Tevar also features Manoj Bajpai in a pivotal role.
