Tevar, starring Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, continued to have a downfall over the second weekend. The film earned approximately Rs 1 crore on its second Friday, whereas Rs 1.05 crores on second Saturday and 1.15 crores on second Sunday. Cumulatively, the film now stands with a total earning of Rs 38.20 crores at Box Office India.
This action drama had a dull first week and also witnessed below average second weekend collections. Since, Akshay Kumar’s Baby and Sonam Kapoor’s Dolly Ki Doli release this week, Tevar is likely to be washed out completely from the silver screen.
In spite of Tevar being a big release of the year, it continued to remain low at the ticket windows. The film remained dull not only in multiplexes, but also at the single screens. It earned good business from the mass circuits though.
Amit Sharma’s Tevar has been co-produced by Kapoor brothers – Boney and Sanjay. Tevar is a remake of Gunasekhar’s 2003 Telugu flick, Okkadu, which starred Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika Chawla in lead roles. Tevar also features Manoj Bajpai in a pivotal role.
