Ajay Devgn is clearly having a good run with his hit films one after the other. His last box office hit was Total Dhamaal and the actor clearly ruling the summer with De De Pyaar De. In his second outing of the year, the actor had Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh. The critics might have mixed reactions for the movie but the audiences loving the Luv Ranjan presentation.
The opening day of the film had a decent amount of crore 8-5 crore on Friday. There was tremendous growth seen over the weekend. On Saturday the film had a Box Office Collection of 12.5 crore. There was a marginal growth seen on Sunday with a Box office Collection of 14.25 crore and the day 4 met with a box office collection of 6 crore. The total Box office collection for De De Pyaar De till date stands for 42.5 crore.
Though the promo of the film had given us an impression of an out and out rom-com but surprisingly the film had turned out to be much more than that where there was a mix of emotions and drama that integrated beautifully.
According to the Monday collection, De De Pyaar De stands as the sixth highest Monday collection. The movie still stands behind Total Dhamaal (Rs 10.04 crore). The Surgical Strike (Rs 10.55 crore), Luka Chuppi (Rs 7.75 crore), Gully Boy (Rs 8.41 crore), Kesari (Rs. 7.94 crore)
There is a possibility of the De De Pyaar De to be slow down as there are two more movies that are going to be released on this Friday. One would be Arjun Kapoor’s India’s Most wanted and the another one is Vivek Oberoi’s PM Narendra Modi which will be hitting the screens on May 24. Now that there will be two more movies running alongside De De Pyaar De, it will be very interesting to watch indeed. The movie had already been suffering in its box office collection due to the fact that after nationwide release, the film got leaked online by piracy website Tamilrockers
Bhushan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, and Krishnan Kumar are the producers of the film De De Pyaar De. It was wonderful to watch Tabu and Ajay Devgan together once again. They were involved in many films like Vijaypath (1994), Haqeeqat (1995), Thakshak (1999), Drishyam (2015) and Golmaal Again (2017). The film is expecting to be crossed 50 crore or even 100 crore at the end of the second weekends.
