Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is the sequel to 2014 film Godzilla stands as the 35th film in the franchise and is considered to be one of the most awaited movies this year. Godzilla ties back to our childhood era and it brings a great many nostalgic memories. However, the film was not received well and it rather had experienced a very dull opening. The movie failed to impress the audience which was rather unexpected. The movie has got mixed reviews from the audience and it was applauded for the action scenes and the visual effects. However, the film was seen to have a jump during the weekend and somehow the film managed to get a decent hold at the box office. There is a possibility that the film might sink further as an impact from Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat.

Overall speaking, Godzilla: King of Monsters is experiencing a massive disappointment at the Box Office Collection. Godzilla helmed by Michael Dougherty has been written by Zach Shields, Doughtery, and Marx Borenstein. The story of the King of the monsters is played in a certain way where human lives will be depended on Godzilla this time as they expect to beat King Ghidorah. King Ghidorah is someone who has done the most gruesome job with awakening other Titans in order to destroy the world.  Godzilla: King of the Monsters is very special as it dedicates to the two people who died in 2017- the first one would be the executive producer Yoshimitsu Banno and the original Godzilla suit performer Haruo Nakajima. Godzilla: King of Monsters features stars like Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, Sally Hawkins, Bradley Whitford, Vera Farmiga, O’ SheaJackson Jr., Ken Watanabe, David Strathairn, Aisha Hinds and Zhang Ziyi who plays important roles in the film.

According to the Box Office India report, “Godzilla 2 had a decent Monday collecting around 2 crore nett with collections down 40% from Friday and almost at the level of Thursday. But despite the hold, the film will probably struggle as will lose its screens on Wednesday when Bharat releases and there is not much of a total on the board.”

The low interest that the movie is receiving at the outset gives a doubt whether the movie will be able to stick around for too long. While people are praising the action sequences but they are not convinced with the narratives that the film presents. It will not be wrong to say seeing all the details that the film is not most definitely a must-see cinematic event.
