The trailer of Chennai Express is explosive! You just can’t take your eyes off of them. It is not just a trailer, but a promise for a complete package of Bollywood Masala film, packed with action, romance, thrill, comedy and the magic of Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty.
The official theatrical trailer looks grand and is compiled in a Yash Raj-ish way with Rohit Shetty zing. The director has strategically planned it as the film marks Shah Rukh Khan’s return as ‘Rahul’ and all the love, romance, and action attached to him. At the end of the trailer, appears DDLJ’s tagline, “Come Fall In Love,” followed by “Rohit Shetty Shtyle”! The title track playing in the background makes your heart race in anticipation. The montage gives us a quick peek into the film from beginning to end. The trailer starts with a train coming out of a tunnel with SRK’s voice over, where he introduces him as 40 years old man named Rahul and says in 40 years everyone has an ‘ek-aadha twist’ in life and when his twist came, it was a ‘bahut bada twist,’ and boom the scenes explode, with the title track thundering in the background, into an array of colors, Deepika in her various South Indian avatars, car chases, dance sequence, helicopters, (even funny shots), and finally SRK in his angry action hero mode with blood dripping from his mouth, soaking his white shirt (remember the climax of DDLJ) and ending in Rohit Shetty ‘Shtyle’ SRK driving a jeep and overturning (or rather send flying) an oncoming car with a sickle. WOW! BREATHTAKING! The entire film is shown us in a glimpse and we just love it! It’s like seeing the world in a drop of water.
