Farah Khan’s Happy New Year is all set to release this week. The film featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Jackie Shroff. Last year, we witnessed SRK and Deepika’s Chennai Express making records at the ticket-windows. Earlier, the lead pair was seen together in Farah Khan’s 2007 release, Om Shanti Om, which too created records at the box-office. Thus, expectations are mounting, and distributors all over India believe that the film will break box-office records with its collections crossing Rs. 40 crore on the day of its release.

The buzz of the film is very strong. It will indeed have a great opening, and is likely to have a collection of Rs. 35 crore plus on day one. The film will be one of the highest grossers of the year. The weekend and the first week too will be remarkable as far as collections are concerned.

Sanjay Ghai, Mukta Movies, Delhi-UP

As we know, Shah Rukh Khan and DeepikaPadukone’s chemistry has always set the screens on fire. Happy New Year is the only film getting released during the festive season of Diwali. The opening day collection will be around Rs. 30-35 crore. The advance booking of the film has already begun, and it will go full for the weekend.

Gaurrav Gaur, O’Real Imagination, Rajasthan

The buzz of the film is extraordinary. It is already riding high. The film’s first-day collections will cross Rs. 38 to 40 crore pan India. The day one collection of Happy New Year will be approximately Rs. 1.85 crore in Rajasthan. The advance booking of the film has commenced and all the four shows will go full in Rajasthan. The film is indeed going to be a blockbuster.
