Here’s your guide to what Bollywood offers to you in the month of April this year!
1. Ki and Ka – 1st April
R. Balki’s Ki and Ka is an unusual love story between two people with gender role reversal – guy happy cooking and girl too ambitious to care about the kitchen. The combination is super! And Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor’s fresh pairing seems to have added so much to the fun concept. Kareena plays Kia in the film, while Arjun essays her lover, called Kabir. The Kapoor duo are set to be paired up onscreen for the first time, and we are definitely excited to check out their chemistry on the silver screen. Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan have special appearances in the rom-com.
2. Love Games – 8th April
Director Vikram Bhatt’s Love Games is a thriller, starring Patralekha in the lead role. Last seen and appreciated for her acting potential in Hansal Mehta’s 2014 CityLights, the actress has undergone a complete character-makeover this time around, as she plays a scheming seductress in Love Games. Produced by Mukesh Bhatt and T-Series and co-produced by Vishesh Bhatt, the film also stars Gaurav Arora and Tara Alisha Berry in key roles.
3. Fan – 15th April
One of the most awaited films of the year, Yash Raj Films’ Fan has Shah Rukh Khan in double roles – one that of a reigning film star and the other one as his biggest fan who also happens to be his lookalike. SRK will be romancing a newbie in the flick. Supermodel Waluscha De Sousa plays his leading lady in it. Grapevine has it that the character of fan played by Khan is totally obsessed with the superstar, in the film. So much so that things turn really ugly and scary as the story unfolds. Rings a bell? Well, we sure remember SRK’s Darr, in which he played a similar character. Fan has been produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Maneesh Sharma.
4. Nil Battey Sannata – 22 April
Starring talented actress Swara Bhaskar in the lead role, Nil Battey Sannata is a drama, directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari. Ratna Pathak, Pankaj Tripathi and Ria are in supporting roles in the film. It will release in Hindi along with its Tamil version, titled Amma Kanakku.
5. Baaghi: Rebels In Love – 29th April
Directed by Sabbir Khan, Baaghi: Rebels In Love has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor have come together for the very first time to romance on the silver screen, in this flick. Their chemistry in the promos and on the posters has been crackling and super sizzling. While we are at it, here goes a fact – Tiger, Sabbir and Sajid were a team in Shroff’s Bollywood debut, Heropanti. Let’s see if the trio manage to create the magic they failed to pull off with their first film together. As the name suggests, Baaghi: Rebels In Love is a passionate love story, with its leads going to great lengths for love.
6. Waiting – 29th April
Veteran actors Naseeruddin Shah and Kalki Koechlin are in lead roles in Anu Menon’s Waiting. Rajat Kapoor, Suhasini Maniratnam and Arjun Mathur are in supporting roles in it. Naseeruddin and Kalki share a heartwarming bond in the movie.
