Box Office India - Week 2 Of Baaghi Is Same As Week 1 Of 1920 London

Box Office India - Week 2 Of Baaghi Is Same As Week 1 Of 1920 LondonAmongst the Hindi releases running in theaters, it was Baaghi that took the lead. The Sabbir Khan directed film brought in further 12.67 crore and with this, the collections now stand at 72.42 crore. The film is now just a shade behind Kapoor & Sons [73.3 crore] and Neerja [75.65 crore] too is pretty much in the sight. These numbers are expected to be surpassed over the weekend and all eyes are on whether the film would cross the 80 crore mark.

When compared to his contemporary Varun Dhawan’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya [78 crore], Tiger’s Baaghi is set to go past that number. For Varun himself though, there is a good grosser in the sight as his next is Baaghi producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s Dishoom. It is one of the most awaited films of the year and the producer is making sure that he backs youngsters with hardcore commercial products that go on to be family entertainers.

From the new releases, it was only 1920 London that managed some sort of collections. Though it didn’t escalate well over the weekend (frankly, one expected better as the film was decent), the weekdays were reasonably stable. That allowed the film to still have respectable collections, what with 12.25 crore* coming in. These are lesser than 1920 Evil Returns though which had brought in 12.3 crore in just the weekend while 18.95 crore came in one week. Still, given the fact that it is a delayed film, at least some footfalls have helped the Sharman Joshi and Meerra Chopra starrer to not be an absolute letdown.

Its fate can also be considered better in light of the fact that the other two releases of the week, One Night Stand and Traffic, just couldn’t collect as they managed only around 3 crore each after a one week run.

Note: All collections as per production and distributor sources
