A Journey Through Aditya Roy Kapoor’s Ups and Down of His Career

A coffee date was set between the journalist Urmila Banerjee and Aditya Roy Kapoor in the promotions of Fitoor. It was set as a part of the media interaction. Aditya Roy Kapoor seemed super chilled out and laid back during the interaction. No wonder everyone was charmed by the handsome young actor with his gentle behaviour and frankness. He seemed least bothered about trappings of showbiz and was open throughout the conversation.  He was probably the first celebrity who did not seem like holding back anything. Aditya Roy Kapoor has got the both, the talent and the looks but we all aware of the fact that struggle are a big part in Bollywood for coming at Big Leagues. Some of the well wishers might think that in the beginning of his career which was much before of 2019 it has worked against him. London Dreams did not paid off much for him as it turned out to be a flop.

The Peak of his career

The year 2010 started with his two films Guzaarish and Action Replayy. But what actually became the major turn out in his career was the movie Aashiqui 2 which won millions of hearts and for the first time the talented and handsome Aditya Roy Kapoor came in front of people’s eyes. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has proved that it was his lucky year for it became a major hit. If you notice carefully you will find a similiarity about his roles in these two hit films. In both of his hit movies, he played a role of someone who was facing an existential crisis and battling against alcoholism. Alcohol might be bad for health but it surely got his career at the peak.

We are keenly waiting for this year’s most awaited movie ‘Kalank’ which is Karan Johar’s mega big budget extravaganza in Dharma Productions.  His role carries the name of Dev Chaudhury who has the role of an idealistic young man.

The year 2014 to 2017 didn’t do much well for him. His performance as Tariq in Habib Faisal’s Dawat-E-Ishq was not appreciated.  His pair with Katrina Kaif in Fitoor brought back the glimpse of glamour in his career especially for the song Pashmina where both looked amazing.  After that Ok Jaanu came on his place where he was paired again with Ashiqui 2 co star Shradha Kapoor. The song s of the movie hit the chord of the audience but the movie did not turned out well as a remake.

Loyal Fans

Though his career went downside but it did not much affect his loyal fans. They still stuck to him for his winsome smile, chiselled looks and for that home-grown charm and the sense of warmth he has for his fans.

Kalank A great amount of hope hangs for him in his recent movie Kalank. His character has got a lot of dignity and has an ability to convey with his eyes to express love, pain or even disgust. The character Dev sounds caring, honest and progressive. People will surely fall in love yet again after watching him in Kalank. Aditya Roy Kapoor has got two upcoming movies in his bag- Malang with Disha Patani and Sadak with Alia Bhatt. We hope and wish that the Bollywood notice this handsome hunk and talented actor and gives us awesome performance under the hands of good directors.
