It’s an unusual marvel in Bollywood that actors who’ve played roles based on real life gangsters have always received the most praises from the critics.
Actors like Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi, John Abraham have all been applauded for their characters portrayed in their respective films, which are inspired by real life dons.
So now, it’s Arjun Rampal who will be essaying the role of Mumbai’s gangster turned politico, Arun Gawli, in an upcoming film. A reliable source revealed that Arjun has totally got into the project, and is busy doing the reconnaissance and research for the film, and he has also refused to take on any other projects in hand.
In a previous interview, Arjun had said that he was working on for his new role. “When you are bestowed with a responsibility to portray such a role, you have to delve deeply into it. You have to understand that person, his personality and everything so that you are able to do justice to the character on the screen,” he said.
Our sources added that once he’s done with Roy, Arjun is likely to focus entirely on his film on Gawli.
