With Kangana Ranaut being rather a bit too “mu phat” in voicing her opinions about movies, fellow artists or her past relationship, she had been in the headlines almost all the time because of her controversial remarks and insensitive comments. This time, it has been Alia, who had been preyed by this vicious lioness in her recent statement about Alia’s “mediocre” performance in her latest movie Gully Boy.
Alia Bhatt, who is all set and geared up for her upcoming release, ‘Kalank’ was recently taunted by the controversy queen Kangana Ranaut on her mediocre acting in Gully Boy. She said in a statement to a leading entertaining portal that comparing her to Alia’s performance “embarasses her”. She said, “ I am embarrassed…What is there to beat in Gully Boy performance ….same snappy muh phat girl… Bollywood’s idea of a fiery girl, woman empowerment and good acting, spare me this embarrassment, please. Media have taken filmy kids love too far. Stop pampering mediocre work or else bar will never be raised,”
Looks like Kangana, who was recently seen in ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ targeted Alia and nepotism in the same comment with blaming media for praising the sub par performance.
Alia Bhatt who has vowed negativity to not get in her way, did not revert nastily to Kangana’s comment but rather looked forward to her praising her upcoming performances and remembering her previous praises. Alia said that Kangana had appreciated her performance in Raazi and all she wants to do is focus on her career without concerning herself with anyone’s opinions. Well, we must say that Alia has indeed come a long way in the industry proving herself more than to be more than just a star kid while her performance in Gully Boy was appraised by movie critics and journalists. Her fierce performance did steal away Ranveer’s spotlight while the movie fared well on the box-office. Alia also added in her statement in response to Kangana’s that if she worked hard enough, she might praise her again. While Alia has handled the whole fiasco quite maturely and probably is in the ‘no-grude’ zone, we’d surely like to see these two divas locking their heads as who knows when this harmless commenting turns into a full fledged war.
