The quirky comedy, Happy Ending, witnessed a very poor opening on its day one. The film collected nearly Rs 4 crore nett on its first Friday. However, the film was expected to have a massive opening.
The collections are similar to Finding Fanny despite of a wider release. The wider release is a bit irrelevant, as these types only have an audience at premium multiplexes in urban centres. The collections outside these multiplexes are hardly anything.
The film is expected to do better on Saturday evening but that will not help the overall picture, as the film should have started to grow from Friday afternoon if it was to go anywhere in terms of box-office.
In the film, Saif plays a Hollywood script-writer, while Ileana D’Cruz, Kalki Koechlin and Govinda also play important roles in it.
This flick is co-directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, and produced by Saif under the banner of Illuminati Films. The film also features Ranvir Shorey, and Kareena Kapoor Khan and Preity Zinta are in cameo roles in Happy Ending.
