Kill Dil had a very below average opening at the ticket window. The film according to early estimates collected nearly Rs 7.25 crore on its first Friday at Box Office India. The film starring Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Ali Zafar and Govinda in lead roles, was expected to have a good opening considering the fact that it was a Yash Raj Film.
The film, which was expected to perform best in the North circuits, made a very low business. It was only Delhi who received a good response for the film. Mumbai circuit had a decent response but lower than expected.
The pre – release buzz of the film was very strong but the film has received mixed reviews from the critics. The film may have a good start over the weekends.
The film is expected to work at the box office as it is Govinda’s comeback at the silver screen. The versatile actor will be seen in a full-fledged part in Shaad Ali’s Kill Dil. The veteran actor and a first-rate dancer, Govinda goes completely dark in the film. Diving under the skin of his negative character, the actor plays the role of Bhaiyaji in Kill Dil. The film’s trailer gives us a good peek into the depth of Govinda’s bad man role.
