Dinesh Vijan for Angrezi Medium: Kareena is a Great Addition to Our Franchise

The makers of Angrezi medium gave us the big announcement of Kareena Kapoor Khan joining Irrfan Khan in the film. She would be a part of the satirical drama who will be playing the role of a cop in the film. By the addition of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Angrezi medium becomes the most anticipated film in 2019.

The Glam queen enters Angrezi Medium

The film producer Dinesh Vijan feels excited for Kareena Kapoor Khan is going to be part in his special film, Angrezi Medium. He further commented, “We wanted to introduce this character who would be taken forward in the franchisees to come, and she’s perfect for it. Kareena Kapoor Khan never played the role of a cop before so it will be very interesting to watch. On this June the shooting is going to take place in London.

About the Film

Angrezi medium is the sequel of the film Hindi medium which at that time was one of the top grosser of 2017 and not to forget, it was also the third most profitable film of the year.

The story of the Angrezi Medium tells the story of brothers Deepak Dobriyal and Irrfan Khan who had inherited a 100-year-old sweet shop. The two brothers stand as great rivals to each other. Manu Rishi who is a distant cousin and also happens to be the owner of the biggest sweet shop also adds up to the family rivalry. The film is Hindi medium’s sequel which was at that time period the top grosser of 2017. It also marks as the third most profitable film in the year.

Irrfan Gets Everyone Emotional

Dinesh Vijan feels very emotional to have Irrfan Khan back again in the set. He shared that all the people present in the set turned emotional while the actor gave his first shot. He calls his working with Irrfan Khan again after Hindi medium to be the life-defining moments.  He further states that having him and Homi (Adajania) was something all three of them waiting for. Later, when he was asked if Irrfan Khan was also emotional too, he replied, “No Irrfan was his usual self. Wry humour, crackling one-liners and back on his own turf. Deepak and his improvisations brought the house down. It was like the first day of Hindi Medium.”

Homi Adajania is the director of the film who has also done film projects like Cocktail and Finding Fanny.
