Student Of The Year 2 had been started promoting even before the first song had arrived. Tara Sutaria, Ananya Pandey and Tiger Shroff have given us some steamy moments in Karan Johar’s Koffee with Karan chat show. Their regular presence at various social media platforms and events increased their popularity. The movie had been teasing us for quite some time and when our curiosity finally hit the roof, the makers have finally dropped their first song giving glimpses of the movie. The song is filled with great nostalgic moments and enough teasers to make us curious.
The whole set up has been beautifully designed in 70s style. The setup is aptly done for the recreated version of the Randhir Kapoor- Jaya Bachchan. The disco lights and the dancers in retro outfits create a perfect vibe of 70s. After the song came on air, people cannot help themselves but playing it in the loop. The video is not for a one time watch as it has got few moments that makes us rewind or go in loop.
Here are some best moments picked for you from the song:
The Entry of The Dancing Partners- Tiger-Tara and Aditya-Ananya
The choreographer Remo D’Souza carefully established the dancing partners in the selected areas of the song. Tiger and Tara first takes the stage and the pair Aditya Seal and Ananya Pandey comes in second. The costumes of the girls were seriously breath taking. They are perfect for disco dancing.
A Glimpse of a Face off
Tiger and Aditya at some point of the song seemed like mimicking each other’s step. They seemed challenging each other on the dance floor. Now who doesn’t love a battle on the dance floor? This just makes it more interesting.
The Iconic Step
And just when we started thinking that nothing can be better than this, they gave us the iconic step of Disco Deewane which was done by Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Sana Saeed from Student Of The Year.
The Solo Act
The music video will stand incomplete without a solo act of the dancing star, Tiger Shroff. The solo act of Tiger Shroff cannot be missed and probably the best dance moves he had ever shown to us. Remo had made sure to leave a visual treat for the fans. Without any doubt, this solo act will give many opportunities for the coming dance shows to mimic.
The Retro Outlook
The song gives us a visual of a great delight and happiness. The whole visual created by the retro outfits and the mixing of new-age choreography takes us back to the 70s age. The gold and black bow ties and those dresses are just simply icing on the cake.
