Helena Christensen thinks Kim Kardashian's weight critics are "disgusting"

Helena Christensen has defended Kim Kardashian against her weight critics and thinks it is ‘disgusting’ to abuse a pregnant woman about her figure

The 44-year-old Danish supermodel has jumped to the defence of the pregnant reality TV star, who has regularly been described as “huge” and “fat” recently, as well as being compared to Shamu the whale.

In an open letter to the Huffington Post on Friday (29.03.13), Helena wrote: “It is disgusting and despicable the way that certain media constantly harass the pregnant Kim Kardashian. It’s enough that they persistently project a negative focus on women’s physical shapes; but a public bullying and attacking of a pregnant woman because of her growing shape is just lower than low.

“Whatever else the tabloid-media feel a sick need to spew out of their venomous bowels, let that be their lame choice. But there should be some moral compass. It doesn’t matter who the woman is or what she does. No one should ever be publicly judged for their body, but to attack an expecting mother is sacrilegious and just plain wrong. A pregnant woman should not be criticised for her shape, period!!”

The ‘Kourtney & Kim Take Miami’ star – who is set to give birth in early July – recently insisted she has no problem with her changing shape despite working out almost daily and estimated she will gain up to 60 pounds during her pregnancy.

The brunette beauty’s rapper boyfriend Kanye West is also said to be a huge fan of her growing curves.

A source close to the ‘Otis’ rapper told Us Weekly magazine: “Kanye thinks Kim is gorgeous. He just wants her to be happy in her own skin.”

Kim also previously revealed: “He loves [my body] and just embraces it. And he’s helped me to really feel sexy and embrace it.”
