Kate Upton admits she is unlikely to be able to attend a high school senior’s prom in May after he asked her out in a YouTube video that went viral
Kate Upton admits it is unlikely she will attend a high school student’s prom.
The 20-year-old top model – who is set to appear on the front cover of US Vogue in June – says although it was “so flattering” to be invited to the black-tie event in Los Angeles on May 23 by 17-year-old senior Jake Davidson via a YouTube video that went viral this week, her schedule is jam-packed for the entire month and she doesn’t think she “can make it work”.
She told People.com: “It was so flattering. The video was so cute, and I really appreciated it. There was something about it that I knew I had to respond.
“When a guy has a good sense of humour and confidence, that’s attractive. This video was creative and funny. It made me laugh, and everyone loves a good laugh!
“I’m not sure if I’ll be able to go with him or not, due to my schedule. I want to, but I just don’t know if I can make it work. But I really appreciated being asked; it made me feel really great!”
Jake posted a YouTube video asking Kate out this week and got to speak to her about it on Wednesday (20.03.13) on the TODAY show.
Kate schedule is getting busier by the week but she still tries to give back when she can.
The blonde beauty spent Friday morning (22.03.13) at the Arnold Palmer Medical Centre, touring the facilities and meeting sick children in the Centre for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders.
She said: “I’m a model. I don’t cure cancer like these doctors do. So I need to use what I have to give back. There is no question that I have been blessed – incredibly blessed – and I want to find ways to help others. I’m open to doing any sort of charity work, but I have a special place in my heart for children and animals.”
