He has already bagged multiple projects. The actor has already started clawing on his character from the biopic of Sardar Udham Singh which is helmed by Shoojit Sircar.  The film is focused on the times of Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The film will be centered on the life of a freedom fighter who will avenge the horrors of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre by assassinating Michael O’Dwyer who is the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab of British India.  The titular role in the film will be played by Vicky Kaushal.

The Uri actor left us speechless and in intrigue after his first look from the film came out. Vicky Kaushal is thrilled and overwhelmed for working with Shoojit Sircar as he belongs in his checklist of Vicky’s dream directors with whom he always wanted to work. For Vicky, it is a moment of dream comes true. Vicky Kaushal had always been a great admirer of Shoojit Sircar. He admires how Shoojit Sircar looks at his stories. He feels honoured to be directed by him. He further says, “The way he is looking at the character (Udham Singh) and the world is extraordinary as well as beautiful. Plus, it’s also a big honour for me that finally, I am going to be directed by him. Honestly, that’s something that will take time to sink in.”

Sara Ali Khan Refuses the role

However, the other casts are not confirmed yet. There was a report came in earlier that Sara is being offered the Udham Singh biopic which will come opposite to Vicky Kaushal. But unfortunately, she turned down the offer as the film will not get her enough exposure as an actor. The movie will come on screen in 2020. The producers of the biopic are Sheel Kumar and Ronnie Lahiri.

Meanwhile, Vicky also seems to be shooting for a Bhanu Pratap Singh’s horror film. Bhanu’s directorial features Bhumi Padnekar. Bhanu had been an Assistant Director for Shashank Khaitan. A part of the film in Mumbai in a month-long schedule had already been shot in January this year. The duo Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi are also going to be seen in Karan Johar’s multi-starrer directorial with stars like Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor.

Vicky Kaushal is all set to create magic again with the makers of Uri and Aditya Dhar with a period war film which is targeting to be released in mid-2020.  The story will be based on a mythological character Ashwatthama who is the son of guru Dronacharya and Kripi. Vicky will be playing the titular role.
