The trailer of Omung Kumar’s PM Narendra Modi starring Vivek Oberoi which was released in the holi season was appreciated worldwide. The director gears up to bring the lifelong journey of Narendra Modi, right from his chaiwala days to being the top politician that he is now at present. The movie depicts all the struggles he had to go through in between the time period of being an ordinary chaiwala to being a top politician. Some very important milestones from PM Modi’s life are captured in the biopic. Every bit of milestone that had a great effect on his life was shown from his association with the RSS to his period being Gujarat’s Chief Misnister till the Lok Sabha election in 2014.
Vivek Oberoi on the Biopic
Vivek Oberoi expressed his gratitude in his recent twitter post for having the great opportunity to be able to showcase some glimpses of the journey that remains unknown to most people. But unfortunately the biopic faced some heavy controversy by the Election Commission of India. The recent update showed that the biopic on PM Narendra Modi is all set to hit the screens on 11th April.
Despite all the odds and obstacles that came on the way of the movie, Vivek Oberoi continued to promote his film. But what set all the heads turn around was the recent interview that was placed in Bollywood Hungama where Vivek Oberoi was seated in a rapid fire round. The interviewer knowing the age old clash between Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi asked Vivek that what he would like to ask Salman if he was put under the influence of a truth serum. To this question, Vivek Oberoi comes up with a reply, “Do you truly believe in forgiveness”?

Vivek Oberoi and Salman Khan go way back for their ugly fight which made them land in each other’s bad books. This happened when Vivek Oberoi was in a relationship with Salman’s ex Aishwarya Rai. Vivek Oberoi after that was said to have been called a press where he had put alleged complaint of receiving threatening calls from him. From there, he had a great turmoil both in his career and relationship.

To that, the producer of the project, Sandip Singh replied that he wanted to portray a biopic of someone who is inspirational to him. He also mentioned of getting warned by everyone saying it was too risky since he is a sitting Prime Minister and people have different opinion on him. He had been looking for support from the film industry but it is until now that people came on board with his idea. The movie was even claimed by the opposition parties to be a propaganda film and started a rumour that its motive stays on influencing voters for upcoming Lok sabha Elections but he never gave up on the idea. The film have many stars like Boman Irani, Ramakant Dayma, Barkha Sengupta, etc and was co-produced by Vivek’s father Suresh Oberoi and Aanand Pandit.
