After the ill-fated online leak of Udta Punjab, Sultan and Great Grand Masti, you will be shocked to know which is the next one to join this leak bandwagon?
None other than our superstar Rajnikanth’s upcoming film – Kabali. If reports are to be believed there are several online links to watch the pirated version. The production house is, at present, trying to hush-up this matter as much as possible and are trying to pull down such unauthorized online links.
When contacted about online piracy and infringement of copyright issues, censor board chief Pahlaj Nihalani was quoted as saying to HT, “They have not spared Rajinikanth either! Kabali was censored in Chennai, so it had nothing to do with our office in Mumbai. Earlier there was Salman Khan’s Sultan. I don’t think collections of films with iconic stars will get affected by such online leaks. It is the smaller films featuring non-A-listers which get hit by web piracy. Great Grand Masti is a case in point.”
In Kabali, Rajinikanth plays a don, but as the film approaches its 22 July release, this don will have to target the real demons of piracy. A powerful dialogue by Rajinikanth in Kabali— “Kabali vanduten ne sollu” which means tell them, Kabali has returned. Let’s hope for the best that this gangsters threat as well as his charm shall prevail. The film will hit almost 4000 screens worldwide.
